BIOGRAPHY

Guy Little is an Australian photographer and artist whose practice spans over four decades, grounded in precision and a deep understanding of visual form. Working across photography and drawing, his work explores the intersection between observation and abstraction—where landscape and natural forms are distilled into refined, often quietly surreal compositions.

Predominantly working in black and white, his imagery is defined by tonal control, structure, and restraint. His practice moves beyond representation, translating what is seen into something more interpretive—where line, movement, and contrast create a tension between reality and imagination.

A Masters of Photography graduate from Falmouth University (UK), Guy brings extensive experience across commercial, scientific, and forensic photography, alongside a long-standing commitment to education, having lectured and mentored photographers for over three decades.

Exhibited nationally and internationally, including in London, Tokyo, and New York at Sotheby’s, his work reflects a lifetime dedicated to the act of seeing—where the image is not captured, but carefully resolved into its most essential form.

His practice is further supported by affiliations with the Royal Photographic Society (RPS), the Illustrators of Australia (IA), and the International Association of Panoramic Photographers (IAPP). Holding a Master of Arts (ARPS), a Bachelor of Photography, and additional qualifications in scientific photography, biological electron microscopy, and small business management, his background reflects a multidisciplinary approach grounded in both technical rigour and creative exploration.
