IRID Gallery
Represented Photographers
IRID represents a focused programme of Australian photographers whose work is defined by a distinctive visual language, a resolved print practice and a long-term commitment to contemporary photography. This page introduces the artists currently represented by the gallery and outlines how photographers may submit their practice for future consideration.

Representation begins with a clear and enduring practice.
IRID’s programme is intentionally focused. The gallery represents photographers with a recognisable visual language, a coherent body of work and a professional approach to the photographic print.
Representation is considered as a long-term relationship rather than a single project. The work must contribute meaningfully to the wider programme while remaining unmistakably the photographer’s own.
A point of view that is recognisably yours.
The work should feel resolved, consistent and capable of developing beyond a single series.
Depth rather than isolated images.
IRID looks for a cohesive practice with enough breadth to support exhibitions, editions and ongoing conversation.
Work prepared for considered presentation.
Edition structure, production quality, scale and framing should be understood or ready to be developed with the gallery.
A collaborative and long-term outlook.
The strongest relationships are built on communication, reliability and a shared commitment to the work.

How the process works
Send your submission with the subject line Artist Representation Submission. Please provide links rather than large attachments and do not send physical materials. The gallery reviews submissions periodically and will contact photographers where the work aligns with the programme. Individual feedback may not be possible.
For Collectors
Collect the work with considered guidance.
Explore the represented programme with personal guidance on artists, editions, scale, framing and placement. IRID can help compare works, clarify production details and identify the right piece for a considered collection or interior.
Compare practices and find the visual language that feels right.
Understand availability, edition size and production.
Choose dimensions and presentation suited to the work and room.
Consider sightlines, proportion and how the work will live in the space.
Begin a Conversation
Two ways to begin with IRID.
Whether you are considering a work for your collection or presenting a photographic practice for representation, begin with a clear and considered introduction.
Find the work that stays with you.
Ask about availability, edition details, framing, scale or support choosing between works.
Present a resolved photographic practice.
Review the gallery’s criteria and submission requirements before approaching IRID for representation.
