BIOGRAPHY

Dani Watson is an Australian award-winning landscape photographer whose practice is grounded in a deep sensitivity to light, atmosphere, and the emotional resonance of place. Working across still and moving image, her work explores the shifting relationship between environment and perception—where landscape becomes both subject and experience.

Her imagery moves beyond documentation, favouring a more interpretive approach that draws on abstraction, mood, and subtle visual cues. Through considered composition and a refined use of light, her work invites stillness—encouraging a slower, more immersive way of seeing.

Holding a Master of Arts Photography, Dani’s practice is informed by both technical precision and conceptual exploration. Her work has been exhibited across Australia and internationally, with recognition in national and global awards.

Her practice reflects an ongoing pursuit of atmosphere and meaning—where the landscape is not simply observed, but felt.
