How IRID Gallery collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you visit the website, contact the gallery or acquire an artwork.
This policy applies to information handled through www.iridgallery.com.au, gallery enquiries, subscriptions, artwork purchases and related collector services.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly and information generated when you use the website.
Information you provide
- Your name, email address, telephone number and enquiry details.
- Your billing, postal or delivery address when you acquire an artwork.
- Messages, preferences and other information you provide when requesting artwork, framing, shipping or collector support.
- Your email address and subscription preferences when you join the gallery mailing list.
Payment information
Payments are processed by secure third-party providers, such as Stripe or PayPal where enabled. IRID does not receive or store your complete payment-card number or security code. Payment providers process information under their own privacy policies.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, Squarespace, analytics providers and related technologies may collect information such as pages viewed, browser and device type, approximate location, referral source, interaction data and cookie or similar identifiers.
How we use your information
We may use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and provide information about artists, artworks, editions, framing and availability;
- process orders, confirm payment, arrange production, framing, delivery and international shipping;
- issue invoices, certificates of authenticity, edition documentation and collector records;
- provide after-sales service and respond to authenticity, condition or provenance enquiries;
- send exhibition invitations, gallery news and updates where you have subscribed or consented;
- operate, secure, analyse and improve the gallery website and visitor experience;
- meet legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention and record-keeping obligations.
How we share information
IRID does not sell your personal information.
We may share information only where reasonably necessary with payment processors, Squarespace, website and analytics providers, email platforms, artists, printers, framers, couriers, customs agents, professional advisers and other partners involved in delivering the service you requested.
We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety or security of IRID, our artists, collectors or others.
Overseas processing
Some service providers may process or store information outside Australia. Their locations depend on the services in use and may include the United States and other jurisdictions. Those providers are responsible for their own security and privacy practices.
Cookies and analytics
The website uses essential cookies to operate and may use non-essential analytics cookies to understand visitor behaviour and improve the site. IRID uses Squarespace analytics and Google Analytics where enabled.
You can manage non-essential cookies through the site’s cookie preferences banner, where available, or through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some website features.
Marketing communications
IRID sends gallery updates only where you have subscribed, consented or where otherwise permitted by law. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in an email or by contacting us. Transactional messages about an enquiry, order, delivery or certificate may still be sent when necessary.
Access, correction and deletion
You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you. You may also ask us to delete information where we are not required to retain it for legal, accounting, authentication, provenance, dispute-resolution or legitimate business purposes.

Retention and security
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Artwork, invoice, edition and certificate records may be retained for longer periods to support authenticity and provenance.
IRID takes reasonable administrative, technical and physical steps to protect information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No online system is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Privacy questions and complaints
Send privacy questions or complaints to hello@iridgallery.com. We will acknowledge the matter and aim to respond within a reasonable time.
Where the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) applies, personal information is handled in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles. If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices, website services or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on this page with the revised update date.
