Editions and materials
Made in small numbers. Made to last.
Every IRID print is a signed, numbered limited edition, printed with archival pigment inks on museum-grade paper. This guide explains how our editions are counted, how each print is made and how to look after one.

Limited editions
A fixed number, declared at release.
Each work is released in a stated edition. The artist signs and numbers every print, and the edition size appears on the work’s page before you buy.
Editions are counted per size. A work offered in three sizes has three separate editions, each with its own run of numbers.
When an edition sells out, it closes. We never reprint it.
Artist proofs, where a work has them, are listed separately from the numbered edition.
Example · 50 × 50 cm
Edition of 15
Numbered 1/15 to 15/15.
Example · 76 × 76 cm
Edition of 15
Numbered 1/15 to 15/15.
Example · 102 × 102 cm
Edition of 15
Numbered 1/15 to 15/15.
An illustrative example only. Print 3/15 at 76 cm and print 3/15 at 102 cm are different prints in different editions. Edition sizes vary by work and are shown on each artwork page.

Care
Caring for your print.
Framed well and hung in the right place, an archival print will last a lifetime. Five things make the difference.
01 · Handling
By the edges
Hold unframed prints by the edges with clean, dry hands. Avoid touching the printed surface.
02 · Framing
To conservation standard
For long-term display, frame with acid-free mounts and UV-protective glazing.
03 · Light
Out of direct sun
Choose a wall away from direct sunlight. UV-protective glazing adds a further layer of protection.
04 · Temperature
Stable and moderate
Keep the work away from heaters, fireplaces and air-conditioning vents.
05 · Humidity
Dry walls only
Avoid bathrooms, kitchens and damp walls. Steady humidity protects the paper.
